WHAT IS CBD?

Cannabidiol, abbreviated as CBD is one of the several hundred unique compounds found in the hemp plant. While CBD is one of the main compounds in hemp, and certainly one of the most well-known, many other cannabinoids, such as CBG, CBV and THC are also present in some quantities in the hemp plant. Some hemp products are modified to contain only CBD, while some contain CBD as well as the other cannabinoids naturally found in the hemp plant.

DOES CBD NOT GET YOU HIGH?

Hemp is well known for getting users high, but did you know, the high comes from the THC in hemp, not from CBD? CBD will not get you high. Because CBD does not get you high, it’s a great choice for those who want to experience the many benefits of the hemp plant, but do not want to change their mental state by being high.

CBD IS LEGAL

CBD derived from hemp is federally legal due to the 2018 Farm Bill signed into law by President Donald Trump. There are some stipulations, such as the CBD must be derived from industrial hemp, and the final CBD product must not contain more than 0.3% THC. All of the products we offer abide by these rules, therefore, everything you can buy on our website is federally legal.

CBD ISOLATE VS FULL SPECTRUM. WHAT GIVES?

Some of our products contain what is referred to as CBD Isolate. CBD Isolate is the purest form of CBD available. CBD Isolate is isolated CBD. All other cannabinoids and parts of the hemp plant are taken out of the product, leaving you with just CBD. CBD Isolate is perfect for those who do not want anything other than CBD. You may not want a CBD product that contains other cannabinoids, such as THC due to drug tests, so CBD Isolate may be perfect for you. CBD Isolate is not the best choice for everyone, so read on to learn what a Full Spectrum CBD is.

Another form of CBD you’ll see on our website is a Full Spectrum CBD. Full Spectrum CBD contains more than just CBD. Cannabinoids such as CBG, CBD, CBD-V, CBN, THC and many more are generally included in a Full Spectrum CBD product. The benefits from a Full Spectrum CBD product are generally preferred by CBD connoisseurs, as opposed to a CBD Isolate. All of the cannabinoids in Full Spectrum CBD benefit each other, creating what we refer to as an entourage effect. This simply means that the different parts of a Full Spectrum product create a synergy and provide you with stronger benefits than if each part were taken separately. The only reason we would ever recommend you choose a CBD Isolate product instead of Full Spectrum is if you are opposed to taking a product with THC in it. Although all of our Full Spectrum options contain less than the legally allowed 0.3% THC, they still contain THC. In short, if you’re worried about THC, pick CBD Isolate, if not, go with the Full Spectrum, as it generally provides more of the benefits you are looking to obtain from CBD.

HOW MUCH DO I TAKE?

Dosing varies from person to person. It truly varies due to an individual’s personal biology. One person very well could need more CBD than another for no apparent reason. Due to the differences between individuals, we recommend starting with around 17 milligrams (mg) of CBD, twice daily. Dosing information for each product can be found on the product’s label, so please refer to the label to get accurate dosing information. Generally, a full dropper of 500mg strength CBD will provide a 17mg dose, while a half dropper of our 1000mg strength CBD products will provide you with a 17mg dose. Try this dosage level for two weeks and adjust as needed. Some may need to decrease their dosage, and some may need to increase their dosage. Only you can be the judge of that.

CAN I TAKE TOO MUCH?

There are no documented cases of CBD causing an overdose. Typically a higher dosage will be increasingly sedative.
